We are not organic. We abide by EU restrictions on chemical use. Much stricter than SA, even under global GAP. Saying that, this season we have not used any products with a withholding period at all. It doesn't mean to say that we won't in the months ahead though. We harvest from our plants for 9 months continuously so their health is essential to our farm's viability. There are an enormous amount of pathogens that affect tomatoes; fungal, bacterial, viral as well as insects. We grow them inside to exclude insect pests but there are other problems that can occur with growing in a closed environment.
