SOGA ORGANIC® is a proudly South African company located in the heart of the fertile Sundays River Valley. All fresh fruit is supplied by the four SOGA (Sundays Organic Growers Association) members who all farm in close proximity to the packing & processing facilities. Any fresh fruit that does not meet our strict organic export standards is sent to our citrus processing plant in Kirkwood where we produce premium single strength (Not from Concentrate - NFC) frozen juice and essential oils. SOGA ORGANIC® strives to exceed customer expectations by offering premium quality products at the most competitive price. Wholesale and Retail products are GROWN, PRODUCED and PACKAGED by SOGA ORGANIC.

Environment: One of our core values that made us farm organically, is our drive to produce fruit on a sustainable basis. We are developing a farming system that is robust, and where the quality of our soils improve every year. We are acutely aware of the need to farm in harmony with nature, and to always put back into our environment more than what we take out. 20% of our farms are conservation areas, and will remain so forever.

The more we build up our soils, the more we improve the quality of our fruit. We use compost and Lucerne (Medicago sativa) as a basis for our soil fertility program. A critical component of our compost - cattle manure -is sourced from our own organically fed herd.

By creating an ecologically balanced farm, many common pests and diseases are reducing in importance year by year. After years of farming organically, we see many signs that diversity is returning to our orchards - we see more earthworms in our soils, our dams are filled with frogs and orchards are alive with the hum of insects and the call of birds.

Supporting our community: Langbos Creche and Care Centre is the local charity SOGA Organic supports. We supply the children and members of the community with SOGA Rockets on a regular basis, to ensure all the children can enjoy a healthy Vitamin C snack every day of the week.

Their mission is to empower and strengthen the local community through capacity building, skills transfer and funding of various community development programmes. They strive to provide quality education and support to children in order to enable them to develop holistically and gain access to greater opportunities in life. Langbos is an informal settlement in the Addo district and falls within the Sundays River Valley Municipality, Eastern Cape. The Sundays River Valley is known as a tourist destination, Addo Elephant National Park, and citrus industry.

Langbos is one of five townships in Addo with little to no infrastructure on a portion of land surrounded by citrus farming as a great majority of the community are seasonal workers on the citrus farms. Being seasonal workers means that between December and March the community members are unemployed which has subsequently led to high levels of alcohol abuse and child abuse. Their aim is to build capacity of social structure and change agents through the funding of various socio-economic development programmes that positively address identified local priorities and to empower the community to be economically independent and take ownership of their future. All of their programmes are result and impact driven, designed to be sustainable and to make a lasting difference in the Langbos community.
