Our family farm is based in the Northern Cape with our orchards established in 1994. We have started a small product development company creating retail snacks (Pecan Rusks, Coated pecan nuts) while still staying health conscious by also supplying our raw pecans. We are in the process of being converted to Organic pecans through Ecocert and this will be decided in July.

In 1994, our father took a leap of faith and bought a piece of land in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. Having experimented with many small side hustles (always including plants), he decided to establish a pecan orchard.

While practising full-time as a medical doctor in a rural town 10 hours drive from the farm, he would commit after his shift on Friday’s, to drive through to the farm ensuring progress goes accordingly.

As with any new business, there were challenges and obstacles that seemed to pop up more frequently than weeds, but with our parents being a formidable team by raising four children, managing a medical practice and a newly established farm, we couldn’t be more proud of the perseverance, faith and never-give-up attitude that is portrayed through our now 27-year-old Pecan orchards.

Today, we are excited to share with you our quality homegrown pecans from humble beginnings that all started with an idea and a passion for farming and nature.

Our business is unique since produce pecans on our farm and we develop the pecan nut products ourselves. We are also in the process of being organically certified.
Our biggest challenge is irrigation schedules during hot summers with loadshedding. Ensuring effectivity with our labour force
We create our own compost (70%) after hedging our trees. We chop our branches into fine pieces and distribute under the trees - creating a micro-climate.
We use no pest control or predator control and only organically certified fertilisers
