Gaia & i is a plant-based frozen dessert brand made locally in Cape Town. Our different flavours use locally produced, gluten-free oat milk, macadamia nut milk and coconut milk as a base, and natural flavourings. Our four current flavours are Belgian Chocolate, Peanut Buter, Vanilla & Chocolate Mousse (all wheat free), as well as a limited edition variant using local phenomenon Mama Bongi’s cookies to create our Mama Bongi’s Cookies & Cream flavour. 

The bake-from-frozen Chocolate Fudge Brownie is a delicious dessert to keep in your freezer and bake off when needed. It is free from wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, xylitol, and no added sugar or preservatives. It uses a combination of dates, homemade date syrup and sweet potatoes. The brownies are dense and decadent with oozy chocolate chip bursts.

The company was developed by Nic Robertson (owner of The Nice Company) and Gabriella Esposito (co-founder of Skinny Scoop & director of Food By Gabriella). They found a gap in the market for an affordable and delicious tasting vegan ice-cream that offers a sustainable, inexpensive solution to plant-based desserts. They are also passionate parents who want a beter future and planet for their litle girls, Gaia and Inge, so they came together to create something delicious that not only pays tribute to Mother Earth and something that looks afer her as well. 

" In terms of how we stand out compared to regular vegan ice-creams/ products, our nut milks are all locally produced (including coconut + oat milk). Our products contain more than 40% less sugar than regular commercial ice-cream. Our tubs are recyclable. And we use legit, 70% vegan-friendly Belgian chocolate in our chocolate flavour."
